Freebie Friday: 1,000 Custom Designed Business Cards
Business Cards are a promotional item almost anyone needs. Companies, organizations, and individuals frequently require a small snippet of essential information to pass on to customers and clients. The trouble is, many overlook the importance of the quality and professionalism a business card can and should represent.
Just think, if two individuals presented themselves before you to sell proofreading services, who would you take more seriously? The one holding the homemade laser-printed creation? Or the full-color, thick-stock, fully branded business card? As with any business relationship, first impressions make a world of difference.
WinePress of Words is giving away 1,000 Custom Designed Business Cards, compliments of Notation Group. Here’s what’s included for our winner:
- Double-sided, full-color, 14 pt C2S Stock business cards
- Up to 1 hr. Custom Design (Includes stock photography if required)
- Up to 2 revision runs

I am a pastor and an aspiring author.
I’d use the business cards to promote our church’s location. We have business cards but there is no map to the church on it–and the church meets in a place that’s hard sometimes to describe.
Thanks for your blog!
I am illustrator and photographer from Chile.
I find this site interesting and helpful.
Thank you for posting on Christianwriters.com .
A few cards for my lunch money business ,
sure would help .
Thank you , Robin
I am a former college professor turned freelance writer and editor, conference speaker, and mentor. I would use 1,000 business cards to grow my freelance business, helping writers grow their skills and produce quality writing.
Thank you for running this contest!
I am an author and my first book was published last month!
There are so many ways I would use the cards. For starters:
- as bookmarks
- when speaking to church groups
- at writers’ conferences when meeting editors, agents, & other authors
- as luggage tags!
Thanks much!
Ava.
I am a wife, homeschool mom, and writer. I’d use these business cards to connect women I meet with the life-changing ministry of Today’s Lady Virtue. We’re all about “Reclaiming Virtuous Womanhood the time-tested Way!”
Wow! Free Business cards???!!! We are just in the process of designing ours to get the word out about our new book!!! I’m hoping to include them with our Christmas cards to spread the cheer! Thanks for offering this chance to win!
Awesome! Thanks for offering this great giveaway! I am currently an emerging author who needs help with every aspect of marketing. With these cards, I would be able to begin marketing my first book (release date not yet set) even before it is available. This would be an amazing tool to boost sales and my morale! : )
Thanks, WinePress, for all you do! I am looking forward to working with you!
I’m a writer and public speaker and would use the cards to promote myself and my books.
We sell Washington State apples all over the globe, keeping us at such a hectic pace, we have no time to create a dynamic, effective business card. Connecting to foreign & domestic customers is imperative and we’d be blessed to have 1000 cards to represent us!
I am an author and I really, really need new business cards. I should be sending business cards in all of my correspondence, but my old ones don’t represent me any more. I would give out new cards to everyone I meet at the writing conference and in my snail mail. Great idea. thanks Clella
As a writer and speaker I would love to have some beautiful, eye-catching business cards to promote myself! I liberally hand out my business card to promote myself and my work, so I could reach a lot of people with 1000 cards.
Thank you everyone for participating! We have an update: the winner will be announced Friday, December 3, 2010. Additional entries are welcome until then. Stay tuned!
Blogging Barista sent me. I’m a writer, editor, and publisher. I’m nearly out of business cards. I hand them out everywhere I go, selling many books and newspapers as a result. Thank you for this opportunity.
Greetings!
I work full-time as a paralegal, and part-time as an Instructor at a local university. I am also a doctoral student pursuing my passion of becoming a full-time teacher.
I will use my free cards to promote my latest book, Partnering with Caregivers: Learn How to Help Those Who Help Others. These books will mainly be used to seed the harvest at various hospitals, nursing homes, and hospices. (I want to make others aware of the many responsibilities of caregivers and then show them how they can assist caregivers and help to lessen their burden. I will also have an attractive card to hand out to various groups when I speak.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter the contest.
Verna
This is a small design studio that would gladly use a set of new business cards to impress some new clients :-) Thanks for the opportunity.
I need business cards because I’ve got an idea about how to motivate people to give more of themselves and I need to spread the word. Too often I’m scribbling my name on a piece of scrap paper from my purse when I happen to meet someone who asks me about my blog and my work. Your business cards would likely change the course of my life, for the better.
I am a public speaker, blogger and aspiring author. I have 3 business cards left and haven’t ordered new ones because I so need to redo them! This would be an answer to prayer :)
I use the cards to direct people to my site for encouragement and motivation, and hopefully, share with interested publishers.
I’m on my way to becoming a web designer, volunteering for non-profits and what not. I’d like to get some cards to give them out to prospects!
I am a writer who enjoys helping other writers. I design websites/blogs and would love to help other writers market themselves better with striking web design.
I am a writer/preacher/singer/teacher who makes a living delivering bread for Sara Lee Bakery Group. I’d use the business cards to a)try and get people to have Bible studies, in the hopes of seeing people born again, b)hand out to ministerial contacts so they know how to contact me should they feel they need me to come and preach, and c) invite folks to church. Thanks for the consideration and God bless!
Wow, this is really a cool gift!!!
I am a freelance Technical Writer and mentor to budding technical writer. In free time, I contribute to Wikipedia. I am planning to venture to freelance technical writing. I will use these cards to boost my upcoming business by sharing it with prospects!!!
I am a freelance writer/speaker/pastor. I was just thinking I needed to print some cards to hand out every time someone asks, ‘can you give me your email, etc.” I would use them everywhere, of course, because you never know who is a contact. I would also put our new church’s website on them, because it is a church plant and an amazing place people need to know about!
I am an author who has had my first book published and am working on my second book. I leave my business cards everywhere I go: restaurants, banks, post office, standing in line in grocery stores, correspondence, ANYWHERE! I never am without them. Sure could use some more! They are the best advertising tool one could have!
I have started a business that will help new business owners launch their businesses and establish a web presence. These cards would be invaluable to me as I need to spread the word so I can help as many people as possible.
I am a single mother, that after a car accident last year that could have claimed my life (and my unborn child) decided that it was time to start living my life to my fullest potential & the life that God had in store for me. I decided to live my dream of starting my own business (which is still in the works) and have since started a ministry dedicated to empowering and encouraging other women. I would use these cards for my business and to show other women that they too can walk forward with open arms and embrace their purpose.
Thanks for the offer! I am a first time author with my first printing arriving any day!
