Cherie Fresonke, author of Go In Peace for Teens, will make a live appearance on WPOS (Holland, Ohio) with host, Denise Wylie.
Do you know a teen struggling with depression? Anxiety? Rage? Drugs and alcohol? Cutting? Suicidal thoughts?
Ask anyone who works with teens and they’ll tell you these problems have reached epidemic levels, and they cross all spectrums of our society—kids from all types of homes, living in all types of neighborhoods, attending all types of churches. Clearly, our teens need help and guidance to navigate the rough waters of current teen culture.
Go in Peace for Teens helps teens identify the deep heart hurts driving these self-destructive behaviors and gives them tangible, step-by-step, life-changing help in learning how to give these hurts to God so He can heal them. She teaches teens how to find God’s peace in their lives so they no longer feel stuck and hopeless.

Karen Allen, author of Confronting Cancer with Faith, will make a live appearance on the Bob Dutko Show on WMUZ in Detroit.
God is bigger than cancer.
Karen Allen was in the midst of chemotherapy for breast cancer when she first heard those words from her pastor. Her hair was falling out and she was nauseous, yet being reminded that God is superior to any disease—even if it was taking over her life—was exactly, she says, what she needed.
“It was time to raise the bar of faith and walk through cancer with courage and strength, giving God the glory,” she explains.
Once healthy, Karen sought to use her experience to encourage patients and their loved ones in the trenches of the cancer battle; but she knew a simple book wouldn’t do. Instead, she compiled this one-of-a-kind Bible study that offers not just education, coping techniques, and encouragement, but real spiritual depth.
Although the story follows Karen’s personal journey through cancer, readers will see themselves in her poignant anecdotes and repeated recognition of God’s hand on her life. Non-believers, too, will find comfort and empathy from Karen’s relatable stories, which range from heartbreakingly moving to entertainingly humorous.
Confronting Cancer with Faith is a six-week Bible study with five lessons per week that can be completed in approximately thirty minutes each. Each lesson opens with a focal Bible verse to introduce the theme, followed by biblical references and exercises along with reflective questions. A meditative thought concludes every lesson, as well as a dedication, usually to someone in the cancer community. Applicable to any type of cancer regardless of gender, the book may be used with small groups or as an individual study.
