Author Tanya McLain has just released her book, A Different Kind of Summer about a young girl named Nicole who has just survived the 4th grade and is ready for a new adventure. Every summer she and her parents travel to the beach. And every year is always the same—she wants to make a friend but is too afraid to talk to anyone.

Author Tanya McLain and her husband, Denny, share their home in Augusta, GA, with their two daughters and a zoo of pets. Tanya has a heart for children and youth and has taught many children worship sign language and traveled intermittently for nearly two years with a motorcycle ministry to share her testimony with young people. She and her husband began writing when they were disappointed with the literature their children were bringing home from the library. Watch for more books from Denny and Tanya McLain.
