Rochelle, at 87, has experienced them all and more. As a result, she turns her back on God, angrily asking why He would let her suffer so. But one person, neither relative nor spouse, sticks by her and shows her what unconditional love—God’s love—looks like in real life.
Rochelle learns that, regardless of the difficulties we experience and the wrongs that are done to us, God is there with open arms, waiting to help us when our world turns upside down.
Author Deborah Lawyer lives on Bon Air Mountain in Tennessee. She has served in the U.S. Army and also worked for the Burlington, Vermont, police department. She has three grown sons; Sean, Todd, and Tadd.
